ABOUT ME

With over 15 years of experience in social services, I’ve always known that deep connection and authentic support are at the heart of my work. I’m a mom to a spirited toddler with a second on the way and married to a police officer, so I deeply understand the mental load that comes with juggling relationships, parenting, career, and your own wellbeing.

My own journey includes navigating anxiety, identity struggles, trauma, and the kind of loss that stays with you. I know what it’s like to feel overwhelmed, stretched thin, or unsure of who you are in the midst of everything. These experiences have shaped not just who I am but how I show up as a therapist with empathy, honesty, and a no fluff, grounded approach.

Therapy with me is warm, collaborative, and real. I often say I want you to feel the comfort of talking to a best friend with the professional trust you’d place in a doctor. I don’t take for granted the courage it takes to ask for support, and I’m committed to bringing you evidence based tools, honest conversations, and a space where you can show up exactly as you are.

Healing isn’t linear and you don’t have to figure it all out alone. I’d be honoured to walk alongside you.

MY APPROACH

I take an integrative approach to therapy, which means I draw from a range of evidence-based frameworks to tailor our work to your unique needs, goals, and lived experiences. Depending on what you’re navigating, I may incorporate techniques from: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness-based practices, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT).

I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all model—my goal is to meet you where you’re at and offer tools, insights, and strategies that feel meaningful and practical for you.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

With over 15 years in social services, I bring a grounded, real-world perspective to therapy, rooted in empathy, cultural awareness, and practical support. I’ve spent the past three years supporting clients in private practice with a focus on meaningful, lasting change.

  • Certified Clinical Mental Health and Nutrition Specialist (2024)

  • M.A. in Counselling Psychology – Yorkville University (2023)

  • B.A.Sc. in Family & Community Social Services – University of Guelph Humber (2016)

  • Diploma in Social Service Work – Sheridan College (2013)

HOW I FILL MY CUP

What fills me up and keeps me grounded are the little things like listening to a HUGE variety of music (Hindi, Punjabi, Hip Hop, Lofi, Afrobeats), journaling, planning my next vacation, and carving out time for solo dates or cozy evenings with my husband. I flutter between surviving and soaking in every moment with my toddler and my very anxious dog (got a dog to help with anxiety, ended up with a dog with anxiety).

I love being silly, dancing in my kitchen, and coming up with home reno projects that nobody asked for. These everyday joys remind me to stay present, playful, and connected—in life and in my work.

Most of all, my approach to life is to really find the humour in the little moments, the hard moments and everything in between and to stay connected and rooted in who I truly am.

I hope I can support you in finding your own mantra to get you through this twisted journey of life.
